Bolaven Plateau for Xmas

The mention of 'Bolaven Plateau' might not ring a bell but check out your favourite Robusta or Arabica coffee brand - a fair-trade one surely ;0) - and chances are that you will identify the Bolaven as the birthplace of your daily roast.

Beyond coffee production, the Bolaven province is also famed for its many waterfalls and ethnic variety.
The latter was the main drawing card for us. We plan on spending Christmas around here discovering the local ethnic groups and their abodes. Our main focus will be on the Laven group, from which the plateau's name is derived (Bo-Laven literally means 'the home of the Laven'), as well as other minority people of Mon-Khmer descent.

We will not miss to have a good cuppa of freshly fair-trade roasted beans for Christmas! We wish to all of you celebrating Xmas a very Merry one, wherever you are.
